Meet the Board Members

Ziba's youngest daughter, Corinna, is a sophomore in the DGN band program. Ziba's other two daughters, Emilija (college senior) and Tabitha (college freshman) are both recent graduates of DGN. They participated heavily in the Fine Arts program during their time at North.   

Since Chris' dad is a retired band director, she has been involved in music pretty much since birth.  Chris and her husband, Kevin, have three children who were/currently are involved in music at DGN.  Both Rebecca (Class of 2020) and Allison (Class of 2023) were involved in marching band, pep band, and wind ensemble; and Jared (Class of 2026) adds jazz band and concert band to the mix.  Outside of FOFA, Chris works part-time as an ER nurse and enjoys traveling and playing board games/cards with her family.

Beverly has two boys at DGN, a junior and a senior. Iain (senior), is involved with the theater crew. Allan (junior) played the clarinet in the Trojan Marching Band for two years. He transitioned to sports for his third year of high school but continues his music involvement by taking drum lessons. Beverly works full-time in healthcare finance, a job that gave her the expertise needed to take on the role of treasurer.  

Heather joined FOFA in the fall of 2017 to support the choir, band, and theater departments at DGN. Both of her girls have spent much of their high school careers in the fine arts. She is thrilled to support the wonderful teachers and students at DGN.

Jennifer VanHoutan was inspired to join FOFA in 2021 because her daughter, Emily, is a member of the choir and theater program at DGN. Emily has been singing on stage since second grade and is currently a senior at DGN. Jen and her husband, Tracy, have loved watching Emily grow in DGN's fine arts department. A few DGN highlights
are Mosaic, the musical and this past year performing in the Choral Festival and marching with the band on New Year's Day in London! Jen looks forward to watching the incredible musical talent showcased
throughout the 2023-2024 school year!

Jessica has a daughter Grace, who is a junior in the band program, as well as a son, Oscar, who is a future Trojan and will be in the band in the 24/25 school year.  Jessica is a lover of the fine arts, as a former choir kid herself, she is grateful for the opportunity to lend her support to the fine arts community at DGN through her volunteerism with FOFA.

Sara Ferraro has two sons who are actively involved in various programs within the Fine Arts community. Specifically, they participate in theater, choir, and orchestra. Sara and her family enjoy participating in and supporting all the fine arts at DGN. Outside of her position as the Vice President of Volunteer Resources, Sara loves working as an audiologist and spending time with her family.
